The Samsung Galaxy S2 Set To Be Joined By The Galaxy 3D

Samsung’s range of Galaxy models is set to welcome a newcomer in the form of the forthcoming Galaxy 3D. As its name suggests this phone will be the brands 3D model in the range and will join the likes of the superb Galaxy Mini and the best-selling Galaxy S2.

The Samsung Galaxy 3D is due to be launched in the autumn of 2011 as looks like it will position itself at the premium end of the line up along with the S2. The new handset looks set to sport a 4.3 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The obvious highlight on this model is its 3D capabilities and the screen will use stereoscopic technology to enable users to view three-dimensional images without the need for glasses. The 3D screen is accompanied by some excellent multimedia features that allow the user to record their own video or capture photographs that can be viewed in 3D. This is thanks to the dual cameras on the rear of the phone with each lens able to realistically capture what your left and right eye would actually see. These images are merged and the result is the 3D material. Still shots can be captured in 8 mega pixel quality for 2D or a slightly lower resolution for 3D. Video resolution is high at 1080P and the results look stunning on the phone’s own screen or when transferred to a High Definition television.

Nokia E72 – A Quality Business Phone

Nokia are one of our all-time favourite mobile phone manufacturers, largely due to hours of playing ‘Snake’ on our first mobile phone handset fifteen years ago. Since then, Nokia have moved with the times but lost a lot of the market due to the sudden influx in mobile phones developed by other manufacturers, but they are still creating excellent basic handsets and smartphones that are worthy of a fight with the big boys of the market. One of the latest releases by Nokia is the E72, a BlackBerry-esque phone tailor-made for the business user.

There’s plenty that we like about the E72, including the Symbian operating system that puts this phone in a higher league for business handsets. Aesthetically, it’s not that different to a BlackBerry, housing a hard QWERTY keyboard in a stylish, rounded body. It has a classic grey finish and a nice, clear screen, so it’s definitely a gorgeous upgrade to some of the previous Nokia models.

Asus MyPal A636 PDA Review

Asus has taken the PDA market by storm with the launch of MyPal A636. This is the first and foremost PDA with a built in GPS receiver and antenna- making it one of the hottest gadgets in the market. Priced at par with other hand held devices in the market, the MyPal is a slight let down on the overall performance front, but features like the inbuilt GPS device really make this one of the hottest devices in the market today.
