These days, there are a number of smartphones that come in a lighter-toned version. There are some who prefer getting smartphones in its original color black. If you look around, there are number of handsets that come in this color tone. There are a number of Blackberry handsets that come in this lighter tone. These are the 9780 Bold and the 9800 Torch. Other Android handsets also come in these variants. The Taiwanese phone manufacturer has the HTC Wildfire. Samsung’s current flagship the Samsung Galaxy S2 is also available in this color. Of course, who would ever forget the Apple iPhone 4? It took the Cupertino firm more or less a year to release this lighter-toned version of its flagship smartphone. Regardless, once it was launched in the market, it still managed to muster a significant amount of sales.

Nokia are one of our all-time favourite mobile phone manufacturers, largely due to hours of playing ‘Snake’ on our first mobile phone handset fifteen years ago. Since then, Nokia have moved with the times but lost a lot of the market due to the sudden influx in mobile phones developed by other manufacturers, but they are still creating excellent basic handsets and smartphones that are worthy of a fight with the big boys of the market. There’s plenty that we like about the E72, including the Symbian operating system that puts this phone in a higher league for business handsets. Aesthetically, it’s not that different to a BlackBerry, housing a hard QWERTY keyboard in a stylish, rounded body. It has a classic grey finish and a nice, clear screen, so it’s definitely a gorgeous upgrade to some of the previous Nokia models.

Asus has taken the PDA market by storm with the launch of MyPal A636. This is the first and foremost PDA with a built in GPS receiver and antenna- making it one of the hottest gadgets in the market. Priced at par with other hand held devices in the market, the MyPal is a slight let down on the overall performance front, but features like the inbuilt GPS device really make this one of the hottest devices in the market today.
